It was Awesome to see the race up close! I was directly behind Albert & John (helping w/ traffic control ) and when they took off - so did we. I remember going way over 145 MPH and they seemed like a world away! I could barely see John's car! I can't really explain it - only to say that the Venom 800 TT is the fastest thing I've EVER seen! EVER! His car was like a freakin Missle! I still can't get over it! There's always somebody faster but I can't see ANYTHING beating that car. Period.

Trey, it was great to see you yesterday. Youve got a sweet looking and running ride.

I really appreciate Albert coming out to our test track. I was really interested to see if the V800 would get down the road as well as it ran on the dyno. It was a good run and I thank Albert for being cool enough to give me such a strong car to matchup with.

Now we just need to get Gerald back into the action. The posse of cars last nite just didnt look right without Gerald. See you guys this week.

John

Guys, no doubt, last night was fun, and the TT car (once again) RAN. However, albert is too much of gentleman to admit this, but at about 130 mph, his car would lose all power and sputter (NOS problem), it was NOT running right, so in actuality, the race was over for albert at 130. Now, i'm not saying that albert would have won, all i'm saying is that it would have been a bit closer if albert's car was running like usual. NOTE: I have NO interest in either car, just letting ya'll know that albert is too nice to ever post an excuse... I still think the TT car is faster, but atleast it would have been funner to go up to 170 in alberts car!!!!

15 psi with the stock bottom-end?! YIKES! It sounds like the car has more than enough power now (I never thought I'd say that!).

Dan,

They were running from a 50-55 mph punch - so hooking up wasn't too much of a problem.

It was great meeting everyone and Trey you thought you had trouble keeping up in your GTS -- I learned my Navigator has a limiter at 120 mph.

Now come on guys!!! at a 55 mph roll with that kind of power you got to TOAST those pilots.

Albert what tires were you running? Also can you hit the 300 all toguether from a 50 mph roll ? I suspect not, since I've sprayed that much before and I'd need a 80 mph, drag radials and two stage activation from a roll to get traction...

Also how did it look at 130 mph, or whatever speed you started having problems...

you car trapped at 142 on a 200 shot, should be around 148 on the 300 shot. For a car to pull 5 lenghs on that it has to be trapping in the high 150's... that is like 1170-1200 hp at the motor....

Thanks!!

Peter,

Now that you mention it, I do remember you saying that there was a problem right after the race. I think you said Albert couldn't go past 130 or 140. What do you think happened?

Dan, the V800 will spin the tires in the top of 3rd. With a 3.07 gear, that is about 100 mph I guess. But shift to 4th and it hooks and goes pretty quick. This V800 also has our VenomAero rear wing which is functional and does add rear downforce at speeds over 50 mph. I cant speak for how Alberts car hooks up, but the power delivery of the TT is so smooth that it just goes at speed. Its hard to describe, but its both smooth and scary fast at the same time.

Trey - it was definately a NOS problem which i'm sure albert will have figured out soon. I know he plans to run this wed. and i'm sure he'll be at the top of his game.

ZR-1 - they were racing from 55 mph or so. The TT car power delivery was so smooth it would slightly spin them until about 100 mph. Albert's car on the other hand, would light the tires up from a 55 roll... AMHIK, we were goin sideways a few times...

So are you going to send the car back to Motor Trend to make another cover??? It would be good to see a Viper Tuner special with the SVS TT and supercharger cars, Venom 800TT and one or two of the DLM Supercharged cars compared. Just an idea. Good Luck with further mods.

PS. Is there anywhere i can find some in depth information or download the video of that passed V800 - Supra, Supra race?

OrecaGTS-RT, I would of posted it if I could find the link but frankly it wasn't that great of a video clip...very short and jumpy. Also it seemed like the sound didn't correlate with the video....unless the supra(s) got a HUGE jump on the viper before it started to get on it....that's how the video clip "sounded." ...but regardless the overall quality was poor...let's wait and see a video clip of the viper at the track piloted by S.W. himself in it's current 931 RWHP tune....that'll be something worth downloading !!

...any of you guys going to the track with John and S.W. tommorrow, PLEASE get good video clips of everything from the track runs to any "properly" staged highway street action
