Hey Norm, the V800 is just sitting in the shop waiting on you and your ZR1TT. Uliger is welcome to come over too anytime. I tell you what, why dont we get the crew together on Friday for a smackdown lunch and afterwards we can find out WHO is WHO's DADDY! I will concede the 1/4 mile to you, steve and anybody else. But from 60 - 160 mph you will get drilled. If I'm wrong then I will be the first to shake your hand. Let's go Champ, you pick the day.

When it comes to Zr-1's the peak power does not tell you the whole story. Those cars will make the power up to 7200-7400 rpms. That means you can run deeper gears and/or hold and pull harder/longer on each gear... makes a big Difference...

Wow, Grant's performance 1500HP !?!? Can anyone on this forum give me more info on this car ?? (i.e. a link, web address, anything).....this sounds like the fastest street car showdown on earth ! Get a video P.S. No "Amir," no supra on earth can support the type of HP needed out of their 3.0liter pee-shooters to hang with these rides (Meanies 1700 HP street C4 vette, 1300HP w/ small compressors; grant's performances 1500 HP car, venom 800TT w/ A LOT more room to go on upgrades .."still on stock compression ratio") ...that's why I'm on this forum...to see what the "fastest" (Viper, TT vettes, other big-inch domestics with more potential) out there are doing...if I wanted to see what the "fast" do (along with a WHOLE lot of smack talking w/ little to support it in MOST cases) I would join the various supra forums, lol. (That's why you jump onto this forum just to try and defend the two fastest street supras we all know of (which wouldn't even be in the top 20 for fastest street cars in all of texas: most, if not all would be big-inch domestics (driven by owners who rarely visit "internet forums") for the obvious reasons. I'm not flaming, and supras are cheap and easy to make SERIOUSLY quick...but just telling it how it is....no substitution for cubic inches "when combined with intercooled boost and technology (which makes the comparo apples vs. apples (....I would LOVE to see a supra owner that doesn't "own" a viper ADD something beneficial to this site (Viper performance) just once rather than talk biasedly about supra's vs. "the world." ...LOL (Guess what, the world wins ------------------ Kevin D. --- 91' ZR1 Vette

Norm, I think the Motor Trend idea is a good one, but somehow I feel that it wont happen...unfortunatley [QUOTE]Originally posted by LT-5@redline: venom 800TT w/ A LOT more room to go on upgrades .."still on stock compression ratio") QUOTE] LT-5, Off the top of my head I believe that John has lowered the compression of the snake from 9.7:1 to 9.0:1. But somone please correct me if I'm wrong. John, What did you do to lower the compression? Was it soley from the recontouring of the heads chambers? Plus, with the 9.0:1 comp ratio, how much boost do you think you will be able to run safley and on what gas? Also, don't you miss not having the TT? Or have you sold it to build yourself something better? We also need videos of this. Robert, yes we took about 3 cc's out of each combustion chamber netting in a drop from the stock 9.6:1 to 9:1. We have run 8 psi of boost on pump gas on the street and track with this combination and not had any detonation issues. Currently we are running 104 unleaded race gas while running 12 psi boost on the same stock pistons. Future applications that we plan to run 10 psi or more boost, we will run a slightly lower compression piston. These measures may not necessarily be needed, but its cheap insurance against getting a bad tank of gas somewhere. Take care, ------------------ John Hennessey Texas VCA Member "Too Much Horsepower is Never Enough"

The Houston Club took to the streets last night! (Golder, Pimp Daddy P, Steve, John, Myself, Shakedown, Jason, Frogger) We had a little bit of everything. The entertainment value was off the hook! All I can say is, 'Bring on Snake Eyes!' Peter got great video but I couldn't because I couldn't keep up w/ Ueligger or John (waaay to fast for me) I myself don't think anyone can beat that Twin Turbo. Not from a roll like they're racing anyway. I have a blast everytime all the Viper guys go out! Cool to live in a City where there are a handfull. February 2nd's coming up too! ------------------ Trey Pullen 01 GTS/Serpent 505

I'd have to agree with you Matt, there are very few "street" cars on earth that would be able to beat that TT Viper on the highway....I would say highly tuned TT-covettes would be the only type of contender. ("MADMKIV" NO supra would have enough grunt to make the grade, too small of displacement=not enough area under the curve or boost responce; that video clip was old news son; john was only at 7~to~8 psi)....not to mention, even at 12psi, john car still has A LOT MORE left to go with a low compression built motor! Svsi systems already has built V-10s that can easily take 22PSI...imagine John cars at that level, it would be simply laughable mentioning ANY "supras" or even 820+RWHP ZR1's at THAT point. However, let's bring out Meaney's C4 corvette in it's 1700 HP set-up (it's bigger trim turbines) Here's a link to it-" http://www.popularhotrodding.com/archive/features/0102_phr_features01.jsp "...now that would be a killer race!!
